Men’s soccer

The team tied Menlo College, 1-1, after two overtime periods Oct. 26. Matheus Barbosa was the only one to score.

Bethany is fourth in the California Pacific Conference with a 5-3 record and one game left. They will host Simpson University at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Skypark.

Women’s soccer

The women’s soccer team fell 2-0 to Menlo on Oct. 26. The team is in fifth place out of six teams with a 2-6 record.

The Bruins will host Simpson University in the final game of the season at 11 a.m. Saturday at Skypark.

Volleyball

The volleyball team lost to William Jessup University in five games Oct. 30 for a 6-5 record in the Cal Pac, 13-10 overall. The team is fourth out of seven teams in the conference with two matches remaining.

The Bruins will play their last conference game at home at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, against Simpson. Their last game is at crosstown rival U.C. Santa Cruz at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Cross country

The cross country team participated in pre-conference time trials Oct. 29 as preparation for the California Pacific Conference Championship Meet on Friday. The race will be at Mills College.

Men’s basketball

The men’s basketball team lost to Pacifica, 89-87, on Oct. 30. Conference play begins in January.

The Bruins’ next game is the homecoming game against Masters College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with royalty to be announced during halftime.

Women’s basketball

The women’s team lost 72-53 to Southern Oregon on Oct. 30.

The team will next play at 3 p.m. Friday against Biola University, followed by the homecoming game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday against San Diego Christian College. Conference play begins Jan. 6.
